‘DAWNING SPIRITS OF EMOYA’ VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

 YEAR ROUND 2017/2018

An experience of a lifetime! Come and join our amazing team in a sanctuary like no other. A privately owned 5,000ha wilderness estate and working farm in Limpopo, the most Northern Province of South Africa. A home to two Siberian Tigers and over 40 rescued lions, including the world famous Masrya and Nero from the Netherlands and Serabie of the winning documentary ‘Saving Serabie’. Also the newly rescued 33 lions from circuses in South America by Animal Defenders International (ADI), one of the biggest rescues in history.

Choose your experience, volunteer anywhere from two weeks to twelve weeks.

Daily activities may include;

– Morning checks
– Checking electrical fence
– Cleaning of fences
– Cleaning of enclosures
– Cleaning of water holes
– Enrichment
– Preparing of meat
– Maintenance and cleaning of cold / freezer rooms
– Evening feeds
– Animal observation
– Photos and videos
– Assistance to veterinary care when needed
– Building and upgrading of enclosures

You will also have the opportunity to work with our livestock as well as get a taste of general farm maintenance.
